Billboard Magazine’s latest the Green Issue has a great feature article on Live Earth! “Greening India: Live Earth India Got Canceled, But Environmentalism Lives On The Subcontinent” (subscription required) highlights the success of recent Friends of Live Earth events in spite of the unfortunate cancellation of Live Earth India.
According to the article, India was ranked 120 out of 149 nations in a 2008 Yale study which ranked countries according to environmental criteria ( which included carbon emissions, water purity and conservation practices). This was a huge reason we knew India needed to be highlighted in the fight against climate change.
