"The National Park: America's Best Idea" is the next great installment from the genius of documentary-maker Ken Burns. The six-episode series will air on PBS and PBS.org. It was directed by Burns and written and co-produced by Dayton Duncan.

Filmed over a six-year span at some of the country's most beautiful and spectacular locations like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, “The National Park: America's Best Idea" is a story of the American people from every conceivable background. Stories of the people around the country that devote themselves to saving some of the precious portions of the land they loved.

If this series is anything like Ken Burns' previous projects, then we know it will be good! And we're excited to see the amazing footage of our beautiful country.
