I want you, Al Gore, to help launch a campaign on saving energy on a subject I've never heard anyone mention.
I live in midtown Manhattan, and every night I see all the high rise commercial properties with their lights burning all night long. With few exceptions, these lights are constantly being used with no one in their offices in the middle of the night.
Idea: Convincing all these high rise buildings, here and everywhere else in the US, to only leave the top floor and bottom floor lights on during the night.
When cleaning crews come in for the evenings they can turn off the lights as they finish each floor. It is such a criminal waste of energy.
I have tried to reach the proper people at every major newspaper in NYC to no avail. Why can they not start a campaign to do this simple act that could save so much?
By the way, you and I are on the same family tree, and I'm very proud of that!
