Dear Doug Lamborn,
As my representative in the house of Congress for Colorado Springs, Colorado, I am calling on you to step up to the plate and work on passing legislation to help reduce carbon emissions, reduce pollution and begin a clear path for Americans to make choices that are moving us in the direction of using renewable energy sources.
In my own home we use solar hot water for household heat and hot water. We purchased a Toyota prius Hybrid, and we have replaced many lightbulbs with the new energy saving ones. What can you do to help more Americans make positive changes like going to solar, and buying hybrid cars? By passing legislation you can encourage utilities across the nation to move from coal and gas to wind power and other sources of renewable energy. Fund the research for energy sources we don't even know how to talk about yet. Provide incentives for households to go solar and purchase cars that use less oil. Proved incentives to automobile manufacturers to develop energy saving vehicles.
There's a lot you can do! What have you done so far in this area?
Sincerely, Jacqueline Ostrom
