Dear Congressmen, The

Dear Congressmen,

The climate crisis is the greatest threat facing our world today - we are almost out of time to stop the consequences. We are concerned about climate change because as divers and travelers we saw the problems first hand. We must take action now. On 7/7/07 millions of people around the world came together to watch the Live Earth concerts and learn more about what individuals, businesses, and communities can do to stop the climate crisis. We need strong leadership from you – we need to set binding targets for reducing our carbon emissions. We demand a treaty in the next 2 years. We are asking that you commit to working toward this goal.

We have taken the Live Earth pledge – will you?

Here’s the first point:
We demand that my country join an international treaty within the next 2 years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth. We look forward to your response.
We have done our share to help stop this real man made crisis.

Thank you,
Pete and Paula Golden
