We have bamboo floors that we love. We did have a powder-post beetle problem in the floors and had to have one room's floor replaced. That's a kiln-drying problem the industry needs to be careful to resolve.
I'm wondering whether contained bamboo growths have been tried somewhere as a green, beautiful, pollution-reducing, cost-reducing alternative to high concrete sound-barriers along interstate highways.
