Earwigs are common here in Nova Scotia and one easy way to get rid of them is to take a bottle of soapy water and squirt it arount the foundation of your home. I use eco-friendly dish soap so it doesn't harm the grass outside my home. Earwigs hate soapy water so it keeps them away. Another awesome tip for ants and fruit flys is to leave a dish of vinager on the kitchen counter. They go for it everytime.
