My occupation in the summer is poison-free removal of all kinds of stinging insects. I have learned a good deal about wasps in doing this. Foremost, wasps are an allie. They eat bugs of all kinds, including other wasps at times. Without them we would be overwhelmed by bugs. So let's educate the public to preserve wasps, whenever possible, and stop the KILL, KILL, KILL attitude.
When wasps nest in places that threaten people, they can be killed with soapy water alone. NO Raid needed. If they are not in a bad location, LEAVE THEM ALONE.
It is important to learn which species are aggressive and which are relatively harmless. With this knowledge people would be less afraid of them and less likely to kill before thinking.
