There are so many things to consider when choosing the university you will attend. Location? Level of academia? Price?
Today's college-bound students are increasingly interested in how green their prospective universities are, according to the Princeton Review survey.
Of the 12,715 college bound high school students and 3,007 parents surveyed, a whopping 68 percent admitted that their final decision on a college would be influenced by the overall environmental score of the university. Those 68 percent of students interested in green ratings were in comparison to last years 64 percent, which shows increased green attentiveness in college bound students. Would this be a large deciding factor for you?
Here is the actual survey question asked:
If you (your child) had a way to compare colleges based on their commitment to environmental issues (from academic offerings to practices concerning energy use, recycling, etc.), how much would this contribute to your (your child's) decision to apply to or attend a school?
