I would love to live more green and I do what I can. I live in a rural area on a fixed income. I do grow a good quantity of food that helps with the grocery bill.

Locally, (which to me means a 15 mile drive), I have the choices of two grocery stores. Even if they ever carry anything with an "eco-friendly" label; I cannot afford it. What is a person like myself supposed to do?

A great way to help the planet is by buying products that have little or no animal animal flesh. Eating animals contributes to deforestation, pollution, and wasted resources. The single most effective way of saving the planet is to go vegan. Look for the 'vegan' label for tasty, healthy, truly Earth-friendly foods.

Also remember when it comes to companies of products and reading labels: KEEP IT LOCAL! My grocery store carries milk and produce form local farms, many of them are orgnaic to boot.

And when buying clothing our family reads the tags and do not buy any article made in China, until they decide to straighten up their polluting ways . Funnily enough, we would make the same decision with US made products, luckily there are not very many of them! Boycott China, when you can!!!

I can not thank you enough for doing this. For decades I've witnessed the planetary devistation caused by greed and uninformed citizens. Most people are just unaware of the damage they cause; to the planet as well as themselves. Please continue the awareness watch. With people like you, maybe we can transform this earth back to the healthy place as it was intended to be.
