Cloth Or Disposable -- Diapers, Of Course!
Here's a response from one of our featured bloggers:
CLOTH or gdiapers!
Bum genius one size all in ones are the greatest! No need for three different sizes of cloth diapers - all in ones - easy! Buy the hose attachment that goes on the toilet to clean off 'poopy' diapers! Makes it so easy - careful using bleach to clean them - chlorine is bad for the environment and could potentially be harmful to sensitive baby buns! Also - the chemicals in the super absorbent disposables is a chemical! NOT GOOD STUFF to put next to such sensitive skin - think of chemicals absorbed into the body and keeping out as many as we possibly can!If you have to do disposable choose TUSHIES - the only brand I have found that is not only chlorine free, but also uses natural plant pulp as the absorbent layer and not chemicals!G DIAPER!!!! They won the cradle to cradle award from William McDonough. They are cloth outers with flushable (or compostable for urine diapers) biodegradable inserts. Again, no super absorbent crystal chemicals! You need about 3 - 4 outers and then purchase the liners on-line.As for the reproduction thing - I agree we don't all need many kids, but I believe that replacing my husband and me with two more humans that we will raise to care for the earth and to educate them to take care of our resources is important. Too many people that are reproducing at alarming rates are the ones who are not already mindful of caring for our resources, and it will then be those folks who will be making the decisions - HOPEFULLY they will become educated and there will be systems in place to ensure the survival of our planet - but we will always need those who will work hard and fight for the protection of our planet!
