Cremation or Burial?
Read a few comments from our featured blogger, MB Burton of Fort Lauderdale, FL.Here are a few comments from MB Burton of Fort Lauderdale, FL: A green burial is best. There are cemeteries where you can be buried in a box (that you can buy in advance and use as a bookshelf) or even a shroud. There is a national organization with a website: www.forestofmemories.org. You can also search green funeral for more articles and such. These cemeteries preserve open space and provide plants and trees (to absorb CO2). They also serve as recreational areas. It's a good thing all around. As always, let your friends and family know what you want before it's too late! Post your comments, let us know your thoughts, and our Green Team will review and report back with their expert opinion!

hey i think i've found a solution to all the problems. Check out a Swedisch company called PROMESSA. They use liquid nitrogen in a process to break down the body. It's like cremation with no emissions. All the bodies nutrients are retained and can buried under a tree. No Emission. Nutrients go back into earth. Company is still small and hopefully they'll make their way over to the states soon. This is the envoirnmentally friendly future of the burial industry
Cremation is the cheepest way
Cremation is the cheepest way out. I would not say it is green though. Being burnt at 1600 degrees by fossil fuels. Whats so green about that! Green burial would be the most earth friendly.
Cremation with scattering is for me. A great place to learn about cremation scattering is http://www.cremationsolutions.com

I conqour with those who have choosen cremation. It costs less, I can be cremated in a cardboard container and the remains scattered. If done in the right way cremation is very green.
burial without a coffin in a
burial without a coffin in a piece of cloth is the best and environmentally friendly way. If we can bury garbage in landfills and there arent any diseases cz of that then why not bury. Soil is a natural preservative and very healthy for everything...let the bugs eat you and in the end it all bones thats left or probably not after a long long time. So u can use the same place for another burial again but dont use a box.A lot of people here are concerned about space on earth and even if we box bury people there will be enough space for 6 billion humans or more to be buried. Just chill up guys..the earth is very vast ..its not like ur burying people in times square and u dont have a place in there lol
