Friends of Live Earth Featured Event: Tanzania

We are proud to continue highlighting the wonderful Friends of Live Earth Run for Water events being planned around the world for April 18, 2010.

friends of liveearthThe Friends of Live Earth Run for Water event in Tanzania is taking place in a country where the water crisis hits very close to home. On April 18th, they will be having a 6km walk and a 15 kms run with the start and finish point from the New National Stadium which hosted the 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. They will be mobilizing the entire corporate industry to participate in this initiative along with artists, athletes, college students, ministries and running clubs.

This important event will feature live musical performances and water education activities in an effort to ignite a massive global movement to put an end to this epidemic. All Tanzanian water stakeholders will have a chance to participate in one way or another to educate the audience and the community on the importance of saving water- an individual effort which can lead to global impact.
