No Plastic Jugs, No Sippy Cups, And No Plastic Juice Pouches!
There is a solution for those of you who provide juice for your kids without buying loads of plastic bottles and juice boxes or pouches. Make the choice to purchase concentrated juice in aluminum cans or cardboard frozen cans. Then, mix your juice 5 parts of water to 1, instead of 3 to 1 (still tastes good while being lighter in calories). Mix it in your own ceramic or glass container and recycle the concentrate’s can.ÂÂ
Hey, when I was growing up, my mom mixed juice in a ceramic pitcher. We had it for years. No plastic jugs, no sippy cups, and no plastic juice pouches! Less landfill waste. Yeah!

Concerning those flyer we all
Concerning those flyer we all seem to get, I now shop exclusively at Harris-Teeter. Each Wed. they email me the things that are on special that I usually buy. And they do not send me flyers in the mail. Three cheers for them!
If you already have a large
If you already have a large plastic Juice Container from the supermarket DON'T THROW IT OUT. Wash it and recycle it by substituting it for the glass/ceramic container mentioned above.
Thermos bottles! Used to come
Thermos bottles! Used to come in lunch boxes made of aluminum. What's the real point in adding more aluminum cans and cardboard to the world? Use the same containor, refill with what you make at home.I got my own stainless steel $5.99 thermos bottle at Stop&Shop. Good for tea, coffee, as well as juice, water, etc. Hope that helps!

I don't see reusable non
I don't see reusable non toxic sippy cups a problem...I got a plastic thermos for kids,, my daughter uses it everyday at school...whats wrong with that? I don't throw it out....I recycle it myself.
Still trying to eliminate things...the recycling thing is hard to get use to...I have like a ton of boxes to take for recycling...
You know what I find horrible and wasteful.. the weekly flyers (sales)...we get lots of them every week..that is alot of trees....I try my best to have my flyers and bills sent through epost or email...saves paper...
Great for at home, but what
Great for at home, but what about for school or traveling???? reuseable non-toxic plastic cups or cantainers seem the most effecient, safe and logical...
