Poznan, Poland is the place to be this week. The first solar car to travel around the world ended it voyage here, where the United Nations Climate Change Conference is occurring.
The vehicle drove 32,000 miles without a drop of petrol; instead, it used the sun's energy caught by a trailer of solar cells. The noiseless car traveled up to 55 mph and covered around 185 miles on a fully charged battery.

Concerts and live events are fantastic. When given the opportunity to go see a live show or to go to a free outdoor picnic, people usually drop everything and join in on the festivities. Events like these are an essential part of community life and have usually had a positive effect on society.

Last week we talked about the bugs that hang in your home and garden and the greenest alternatives to get rid of (or encourage) them to find someplace else to party. But we realize there is a much bigger picture to the problem of pests – a global picture that includes pollution, oil, food and the health of people, animals and the planet.
