Welcome to "Going Green"
Live Earth will be a legendary music event – 9 concerts, over 100 headlining music acts, 24 hours of music across all 7 continents broadcast to over 2 billion people. Music has the power to connect, inspire and move people to take action.
Live Earth and the SOS campaign were created to increase awareness and engage a global audience with solutions to the climate crisis, and throughout this site you will find simple, direct actions that you can perform today to Answer the Call. You will also meet some of the extraordinary people who have come together to launch this movement and get a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes as 7/7/07 quickly approaches.
From the beginning, I knew the Live Earth concerts themselves had to be a part of the solution. To this end, we have enlisted a team of sustainability experts, who have been aptly dubbed The Live Earth Green Team, to implement new green event guidelines at every Live Earth venue.
These green guidelines address the major areas of impact of live events, including recycling and composting, transportation, food and beverages, packaging, energy, water usage, and the event site itself. From power generation at the concerts to garbage generated by concert goers, Live Earth will seek to “design out†waste and bestow an eco-friendly legacy on the live event industry.
This blog will showcase Live Earth’s efforts to green every aspect of its operations.

We at Live Earth are learning every day how to live and work in a manner that reduces our impact on our climate. We don’t have to be perfect, we only have to try and continually build on what we’re learning. If we all move forward one step at a time we will make tremendous progress.
We hope you tune in to Live Earth on 7/7/07 and join the SOS movement.
Regards,

This is the best site
This is the best site concerning global warming I have ever found. The small things makes a great deal of difference. I myself started to become more earth friendly. I turn off the lights when I leave a room and I also changed the kind of laundry detergent I use to wash my clothes. Arm and Hammer Essentials is everything it should and can be. I hope everyone can do their part for our children in the future.
