INSCHRIJVEN VOOR DEELNAME AAN WANDEL-/LOOPTOCHT VAN 6K OF HET ORGANISEREN VAN JE EIGEN GEMEESCHAPSEVENEMENT De Dow Live Earth Run for Water op 18 april 2010 bestaat uit een reeks loop-/wandeltochten van 6km (de gemiddelde afstand die vrouwen en kinderen dagelijks moeten afleggen voor veilig drinkwater). Deze vindt plaats in de loop van één etmaal in 192 landen. De evenementen worden omkleed met concerten en watereducatie-activiteiten om zo een wereldwijde beweging op gang te krijgen waarmee we hopen wereldwijd de watercrisis op te kunnen lossen.
SHOWCASE EVENT
Dow Live Earth Run for Water Chicago
The run/walk takes place Just steps away from Chicago's Lake Michigan waterfront taking athletes along the lakefront path. Athletes will celebrate their achievements at the Water Village and Post Race Party at Montrose Harbor with a live performance featuring Collective Soul and special guest Sam Moore. 6K Hike for Water - Bristol
Join the Pringle Nature Center as we join many other cities around the world as we raise awareness of water. Women and children in third world countries have to go 6 kilometers in order to get fresh, clean water. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Live Earth and all other proceeds will denefit the nature education programs at the Pringle Nature Center.
