Influential Athletes Take Part in April Event to Raise Awareness and Funding for the Largest Global Water Initiative In History Aimed At Helping Solve The World Water Crisis
Minneapolis, Minn. – (Feb. 3, 2010) – Live Earth, organizer of The Dow Live Earth Run for Water, today announced that Life Time Fitness (NYSE: LTM) has been selected to produce a 6 km run/walk (the average distance many women and children walk every day to get water) to raise awareness and funds to help solve the global water crisis.

Today the 2009 Green Inaugural Ball announces selection of Kevin Wall, Live Earth founder responsible for the 2007 Concerts for a Climate in Crisis featuring 150 artists, 24-hours of music, across seven continents to raise awareness for the solutions and challenges of climate change, as executive producer of the 2009 Green Inaugural Ball.
Everyone involved with Live Earth India, from our U.S.- and India-based staff, artists and crew to our India-based broadcast, production, non-profit and marketing communications partners, is stunned and saddened by the tragic events of the past few days in our host city Mumbai. We always felt very welcomed and safe as we spent more time on the ground in Mumbai to finalize plans for Live Earth India, scheduled for December 7. Due to circumstances far beyond our control, we are saddened to announce that Live Earth India has been cancelled. We will continue to work for solutions to the climate crisis for the good of the people of India and around the world. But for now, our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims of this terrible attack, with the bereaved, with the people of Mumbai and with everyone in India.

On Friday November 21st, the Art of Living Foundation organized a concert in Delhi featuring more than 1,000 sitar players performing simultaneously. If that wasn't spectacle enough, there was a sea of 200,000 people who attended the concert.
