yann-arthus-bertrand-home-movie-posterThis Friday is World Environment Day and it's also the highly symbolic date set for the release of Yann Arthus-Bertrand's documentary "Home."

The movie is a collection of breathtaking unique aerial footage from over 50 countries, which will show the state of the planet in natural and urban areas with the goal of inciting people to act. "Home" is more than a documentary with a message, it's a magnificent movie, every breathtaking shot shows the Earth as we have never seen it before.

Famous for its Earth from Above pictures, "Home" is the first movie by famous French photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand. He says he got the idea of making the movie from the impact that Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth has had since its release. The beautiful film is the result of the joint creative effort of world-famous wildlife photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand and director Luc Besson. Home involves a year-and-a-half-long filming from over 50 countries around the world, including the most beautiful corners of the planet that are at risk of destruction.

The world premiere of Home is set to be released simultaneously on Friday in every major format - theaters, DVD and online.
