Jessica Biel has just announced that she will be joining Isabel Lucas and Lupe Fiasco in scaling Mt. Kilimanjaro this January to help raise awareness for clean water with Summit on the Summit. They have all signed on to climb Africa’s highest peak – Mt. Kilimanjaro, at more than 19,000 feet – to raise awareness about the need for clean water worldwide.

The Summit on the Summit expedition, set for January, is the brainchild of singer and producer Kenna. His father suffered from waterborne diseases as a child in Ethiopia so he has continuously fought to bring awareness to this issue.

Jessica Biel announced her participation, stating that “This is a basic human necessity that needs to be addressed now. I’m proud to help any way I can in order to raise awareness toward the life-threatening clean water crisis happening not only in Africa but around the world.”

Justin Timberlake announced his hopes to take part in the Kilimanjaro climb last spring on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
