Video from April 18th Friends of Live Earth Events Around the World
Some of the most successful Run for Water events were organized and hosted by people just like you. Thanks to our Friends of Live Earth support toolkit and green guidelines for distributed events, April 18th was a day dedicated to awareness of the water crisis in cities from Tortola to Tirana, Riyadh to Rocky Mount, Vienna to Waxahachie.
Thousands of people showed up for a <,a href="http://correporelaguaperu.com">6K in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. 5,0000 runners and walkers took to Santo Domingo's Mirador del Sur Park, along with Linea Meta, to raise money for clean water projects.
In Amsterdam, His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange was among several prominent figures taking part in The Run for Water, while in Dar es Salaam, 2,200 people came to benefit Practica Foundation at Tanzania's new national stadium.
