TERI/LaBL
TERI is an organization that aims to develop solutions to fight global problems in the fields of "energy, environment and current patterns of development, which are largely unsustainable." Under the guidance of Dr. R.K. Pachauri, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate, which shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore in 2007, TERI has initiated a commitment called "Lighting a Billion Lives," which encourages local entrepreneurs to create and distribute solar lanterns in their local communities, brightening the lives of one billion people and thus, providing a better lifestyle.
