Obama Puts $2.4 Billion Toward Electric Cars

President Obama announced a $2.4 billion boost for electronic car development today, while predicting that there will be more than a million plug-in hybrid cars on the road within six years.
This is not only wonderful for the environment, but will hopefully put us neck-and-neck with foreign nations in the race to lead the world in renewable energy.
Furthermore, this would create tens of thousands of US jobs and reduce reliance on foreign oil.
Within this stimulus, Obama has set a target of having a million environmentally friendly vehicles on American roads by 2015 and would further give a $7,500 tax credit to anyone that buys a hybrid vehicles in the future!

This is amazingly cool and relevant to me personally.
I am unemployed and sold my car to help out with the environment..currently walking and biking and sharing..I just got a job interview in Freeport ME at the new Freeport Village shops....there are NO bus lines or other means to get from Portland to Freeport...so sick that the oil co's have so much power...we've been under a spell. Millions of tons of metal being dragged up and down the turnpike with the detrimental effect of destroying our planet...other countries understand this.. we are so blind.
..so I will need to buy a car...with no income..want the most efficient..great stuff..go Obama!!!
