Wall is producing the concerts in conjunction with SOS, Live Earth, and Al Gore’s The Alliance for Climate Protection. The concerts will feature such major music stars as Madonna, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Beastie Boys, The Police, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, and Genesis, to name a few. Exclusive online media partner MSN is helping Live Earth reach people in every corner of the globe. The concerts will be streamed live on 7/7/07at LiveEarth.MSN.com. MSN’s 30 localized web portals worldwide attract 465 million monthly users. The concerts will be broadcast on NBC in the U.S. and on more than 120 networks around the world. According to Rodale VP and Publisher Liz Perl: â€Å"The Global Warming Survival Handbook offers a fun, compelling and sly deconstruction of a survival manual, as well as advice on everything from how to change a light bulb to how to fundamentally change the way we live. The book addresses the topic of climate crisis with a sense of humor, more than a grain of salt and scientific information to support the argument that a crisis exists. It is a great fit not only with the Rodale list of books, but also with the larger Rodale mission to inspire and help people improve their lives and the world around them.” Each of the 77 skills highlighted in the Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook---from how to â€Å"audit” your garbage to how to convince skeptics that global warming exists---is accompanied by a four-color instructional illustration, a brief synopsis of the skill and its central tenets, as well as a set of instructions, related ideas, and a variety of scientific and environmental facts. Also included is a resource guide or â€Å"green pages” offering a glossary of terms and guides to organizations. About the Author: David de Rothschild is the 28-year-old founder and creator of the Sculpt the Future, an independently run initiative that aims to raise environmental awareness and action through education. He is one of the judges for the New Statesman’s Edge Upstart Award and The Observers Ethical Award. De Rothschild was recently voted as a â€Å"Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum and an â€Å"Emerging Explorer” for national Geographic’s class of 2007. About Rodale: Rodale Inc., which was recognized by the trade publication Advertising Age as Publishing Company of the Year for 2006, is the authoritative source for trusted content in health, fitness, and wellness around the world, reaching more than 70 million people globally. Furthermore, The Alliance is working to move the USA past a tipping point, beyond which political and business leaders and all community organizations compete to offer policies and programs that will sharply reduce emissions. Through an innovative combination of communication platforms and an influential collection of supporters that includes the environmental community, key leaders in business, the entertainment industry, hunters, labor and many others, the Alliance will reach new audiences that until now have not engaged in solving the climate crisis. Partnering with SOS-Live Earth on the Live Earth concerts scheduled for July 7, 2007 is the Alliance's first major public project.
