Bottled Water From the Tap?
By bottling and selling it locally, Tap’dNY wants to have cut out the emissions from transporting water halfway around the globe and they are encouraging people to drink water from the tap when they're near one. They claim they want to be the the second-choice alternative. For example, when you are on the street and don't have a refillable water bottle at hand, but don't want to purchase an unhealthy soda.
The company does nothing to hide the fact that the product is bottled NYC tap water, as it's all over the label of the bottle.
This has sparked a big debate on whether it is "bottled water, green" OR pure green-washing. What do you think?

doesn't reverse osmosis
doesn't reverse osmosis remove some of the beneficial minerals found in naturally occuring water? also, are the plastic bottles recyclable? some plastics still are not. my in-home system works just fine, and the filtration system doesn't remove naturally occuring minerals. much easier to filter at home and carry a bottle of water with you - also cheaper.
