What small changes can you make for a big eco-impact? NBC's The Today Show has a regular segment that informs viewers of thoughtful and creative ways to conserve what we use. This week's focus: paper. Deforestation is the second leading cause of the climate crisis and there many small steps we can all take to make a big difference.

For instance, there are 8 billion ATM transitions a year within the United States and, for most of us, we take a receipt, look at it and then throw it away. If we simply checked our balance online or on the screen we would save 2 billion feet of paper. That's enough to circle earth 15 times!

Another paper product that adds to the 40 percent of paper waste in our nation's landfills are napkins. Usually, we take too much and the extra unused ones get tossed. On an average, Americans use 6 napkins a day. By taking just one less we would be saving 150 million a year!

Please share with us how you green your routine....
