The Capitol Power Plant, which is owned by Congress, burns coal to heat and cool numerous buildings on Capitol Hill. The facility no longer generates electricity but its reliance on coal has made it the focus of tons of political controversy and a powerful symbol of coal's impact on the environment and public health.

This event, will be the largest mass civil disobedience on global warming issues in U.S. history. The event reflects the outstanding growing public demand for bold action to address the climate and energy crises. We need change in the new administration, and its time we did something major to push the process! Susan Sarandon is even behind the cause.

Here's how you can help:
If you're in the DC area or you want to come to the event, please RSVP on the CCA website - http://www.capitolclimateaction.org/

And even if you can't make it to DC, there are plenty of other ways you can help the cause:

- Change your Facebook profile pic to the March 2nd poster image. Just go to the event page and right click on the image to save it to your desktop. Then go to your Facebook profile photos and choose "edit photo".
- If you have a website, embed the Capitol Coal Action widget on your website
- Tell your friends and family!
