Event Guidelines

Concerts and events, runs, live shows and outdoor gatherings are an essential part of community life and have a positive effect on society. Unfortunately they can have negative impacts on the environment. Events generate garbage, use electricity, need ‘stuff’ to run them, along with lots of travel by the audience.

The intent of the Live Earth Green Event Guidelines is to help venues and event organizers minimize and reduce the environmental consequences of their events and to embed the concepts of sustainability into their purchasing and operational decisions. Anyone can use the guidelines when planning large or small events to make them more sustainable. Click here to download the entire guide (7MB PDF).
