The growing shortage of water would lead to economic power for water-rich nations and poverty for the rest. Based on this theory, how should water-dependent companies manage in a world where water quality and quantity become a constraint to doing business?

This question is posed in GreenBiz’s “State of Green Business Report" 2009. As the effects of climate change keep changing how companies do business, it forces them to take water issues and efficiency very seriously. In this report, it makes a good point that, water is less the "new oil" than the new carbon.
