Live Earth harnesses the power of music and film to raise awareness for environmental issues, and to provide simple ways for individuals to take action. On 7/7/07, Live Earth's eight major concerts on all seven continents demanded the world's attention and inspired the audience of 2 billion to take action on the climate crisis. The Live Earth Film Series is made up of 60 short films made by award-winning filmmakers to engage the global audience and demonstrate solutions to the climate crisis. The Live Earth Film Series, sponsored by ABSOLUT Vodka, was an essential part of the worldwide broadcast in July and toured major film festivals throughout 2007 and 2008, including the Tribeca Film Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Monolith Music Festival, Rothbury Festival, Sundance Film Festival, AFI Film Festival, and many others.
