This year, campuses and communities nationwide are bonding together to make a difference in the upcoming election.
Power Vote, organized by the Energy Action Coalition, is an upbeat and indomitable organization that encourages the youth to make their voices heard when it comes to the global climate crisis… and we love it!
This week is Power Vote Challenge Week.
Are you a "climate voter" yet?
The goal of Power Vote is to get one million "climate voters" and they are doing this by pairing up with more than forty organizations and pushing "for clean and just energy." The Coalition takes a huge role in this effort as well. It’s highlighted that they are there to help the youth and they want to be at the events on campuses and in communities to spread the word and to help attain pledges. Pledges to become “climate voters.”
The E.A.C says it best, "this is our moment." "Millennium voters" comprise 25% of the electorate and by 2015, 82 million of us will make up one-third of the votes. We cannot be ignored! Please visit http://www.powervote.org/ to learn more about the effort and to sign the pledge.
