What are great month October was. We ventured through a green Halloween to a much anticipated U.S. Election Day. But things are just getting warmed up at Live Earth and now we're asking you to join us and be the change.

Today we would like to introduce (re-introduce) you to Friends of Live Earth. During the 7.7.07 global concert series, more than 10,000 distributed events took place. This year, you can take part in the experience again. Register for Friends of Live Earth and you'll have instant access to all the tools you'll need to host your own green event for you and your friends. Lighting a Billion Lives
One charity Live Earth is raising money for Live Earth India is Lighting a Billion Lives. This campaign is organized by The Energy and Resources Institute, an organization that aims to develop solutions to fight global problems in the fields of energy, environment and development. Together with your help as a Friends of Live Earth host, Lighting a Billion Lives will be able to distribute solar lanterns and flashlights to rural communities that lack modern and clean sources of light. Today is U.S presidential election and the issue of environmental sustainability is of huge concern. Both candidates express concern for global warming in the environment but their stances on issues such as offshore drilling and alternative energy are varied.
