Multi-platinum selling recording artist Collective Soul and special guest, the GRAMMY-winning, multi-platinum Rock & Roll Hall of Fame "Soul Man" Sam Moore will perform live at the Live Earth Run for Water at Montrose Harbor on April 18th!

Kany Garcia, the Puerto Rican artist and pop sensation, twice winner of the Latin GRAMMY Awards, will perform live on the esplanade of the National Auditorium in Mexico City during the Live Earth Run for Water in Mexico City.

Contest - Live Earth's Fundraise for Water Giveaway
There is less that 1 week left to register for our contest! liveearth.org/contest - It ends April 8th!
- Make a donation to Global Water Challenge between March 1st-April 8th 2010 at https://donate.globalwaterchallenge.org/page/contribute/liveearth1. Donate any amount to Global Water Challenge and you're automatically entered. ($25 buys one classroom of children clean water for a year, keeping them healthy and in school.)
- Set up your own personal fundraising page between now and April 8th 2010 at http://liveearth.org/fundraise. Set up a page to raise money from friends and family and you're automatically entered. You will go through a process of entering your information and will have the opportunity to ask your friends and family to donate. Set a fundraising goal and bring clean water to children who need it. ($250 can provide a school with clean water for two years!)
You must be a resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and 18 years or older to enter. You must make a donation or set up a fundraising page between March 1st- April 8th 2010 to be eligible to win! The winner will be notified on or around April 9, 2010.
Betacup has just launched an online contest to engage creative thinkers in solving the disposable cup waste problem through open collaboration and encouraging fresh ideas. Anyone can submit an idea on how to reduce paper cup consumption and promote adoption of environmentally-friendly alternatives. Ideas will be open to the public for discussion, with submissions through June 15.
Starbucks has provided $20,000 in cash prizes to be awarded for the most innovative ideas!

Registering an event with Friends of Live Earth is a great way to involve your friends, family, school, or community in global, environmental action to help solve the global water crisis. After registering, you'll gain access to a package of background materials, event guidelines, and suggestions for how to host a green event.
