"This CD/DVD package gives audiences another opportunity to experience the excitement of the largest entertainment event in history, while re-engaging with the issue of the climate crisis," said Kevin Wall, Live Earth Founder & Chairman. "We believe music has the power to influence and this package is a chance to expose more people to the Live Earth concerts and message." The digital album is available globally for purchase via iTunes and all other participating digital retail outlets now. iTunes was the first to launch a pre-order campaign which began in earnest less than 24 hours after the actual July 7th event with an available for purchase instant download of John Mayer's compelling performance of "Waiting On The World To Change." Live Earth's net proceeds from the sale of LIVE EARTH - THE CONCERTS FOR A CLIMATE IN CRISIS will go to benefit the Alliance for Climate Protection, whose mission is to persuade the public about the importance and urgency of adopting and implementing effective and comprehensive solutions for the climate crisis. Live Earth was a 7-continent, 24-hour music event that broke records on July 7, 2007. Recognized as the largest global entertainment event ever held, Live Earth secured 500 media partners from TV, radio, Internet and live audiences to broadcast the live concerts over the course of 24 hours, generating media attention and discussion in every corner of the globe to engage an estimated audience of 2 billion people on the issue of the climate crisis. Live Earth was founded by Kevin Wall, an Executive Producer of Live 8, an event that brought together one of the largest audiences in history to combat poverty. I agree with you James. I

I agree with you James. I wish that I could have a dvd of the Sydney concert. I keep looking on the internet - but it seems that it is no longer there. I did have it on DVR, but, I had move cities and therefore have lost it! Bummer. Peter Garret, Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, Neil Finn .... I have not lived in Australia for a long time, but the music I grew up with is still special. Let's push the powers that be to release individual dvds for every city which came out for this worthy cause. Thank you also.

Dear all, Could someone help,

Dear all,

Could someone help, by supplying me with the following information please:

I am looking for a soundtrack from the adverts for the LIve Earth concerts that were heard on the radio, and seen on the cinema (at least in Portugal they were):
— A voice of a child singing "He's got the whole world in his hand", backed up by a beautiful, sort of Gospel Choir/Orchestra.

Any idea where this soundtrack came from? I know there are hundreds of older versions of this song, but I would like to by this particular version that promoted the Live Earth concerts.

Much appreciated. Many thanks for the information.

Me too- I would really love to see the sydney show again. I was there- it was fantastic! I was most upset to find the msn site doesn't have the concerts up anymore. Please put out a sydey dvd :D (the live 8 concert had continent specific ones...)

thanks

I agree with all the

I agree with all the Australia fans. I'm in the USA but I'd really like to be able to watch the awesome Australia feed again and again, including the short films and commercials as they aired live.

I'd also like to see Nanatuk's song again from Antarctica. That was so cool with the wild penguins shuffling in the cold background.

Give me my Live Earth 2007 from Australia and Antarctica!!

Please.

Thanks.

Greg

rock forever !!!!

rock forever !!!!

As far as I know, all

As far as I know, all concerts worldwide were filmed in High Definition. So with blu-ray growing bigger and bigger, I really hope you finally do justice to what was a great event in 2007. I'm hoping for a blu-ray box-set release of all complete performances with 1080 picture and trueHD or uncompressed sound, as I must say, I was disappointed with the vast incompleteness of the DVD Release.

I Totally agree with the need

I Totally agree with the need for a DVD of the sydney performances. the DVD released of the worldwide performances just does not do it for me. Paul kelly didn't even make the cut, WTF!!!!!
Cheers.

My wife & I would have loved

My wife & I would have loved to attend one of these concerts, but instead had to watch on TV. What we saw was a great display of music, and we would love to see more of it. There must be some way to assemble and market these performances. If nothing else, what a great fund raiser. The video must exist somewhere. Put it ALL on DVDs and sell it!!!
