Walking for Water

walking for water

Live Earth is proud to partner with Walking for Water, a school-based program to raise awareness around World Water Day on March 22nd. Participating students are sponsored by friends and family and commit to walking 6 kilometers, carrying 6 liters of water in backpacks to raise funds to finance water projects in developing countries. In 2009 this program raised more than 1 million Euros to support clean, safe, drinking water projects!

Find your local action here, and be part of the global movement to solve climate change: http://www.350.org/map. If there's no action near you, it's not too late to sign up and host one!

This global weekend of action unfolds during the very middle of the Copenhagen climate negotiations, and 350.org will use your images, videos, and stories to show world leaders that people around the world from all backgrounds are ready for a real climate deal. run for water mexico city7000 corredores se reunieron el 18 de Abril en la Ciudad de México para celebrar un paso más por el Agua, vivos colores pintaron el Auditorio Nacional, música  y baile  que lleno nuestros corazones, Kany García, Sandoval y el conocimiento inexplorado de la Villa Acuática,  todo aquello bajo las miradas expectantes que admiraban la convergencia de voluntades.
