When will we figure it out????
I am now 52,and have been working with water treatment, conservation, and recycling for over 40 years! My Dad,and his company, started me out young
(at 10) by his idea of re-capturing diesel fuel in rail yard's around Chicago.
Back then, it was just to get by with contaminating the ground with fuel.
Given that this took place in the early 70's, he will never go into any book's of someone who saw the future, but it led me to where I am today.
My main goal has always been to keep up with clean water technology and keeping the earth safe!
I also push for our planet to use nature's resources respectfully, to develope new ways to make this happen, and realize that it will not only takes thousands of us, but millions, if we are to make this planet viable in the future.
Returning the Earth in a "useless and poisoned condition" that future generations will have to deal with, is not an option at this point.
The US was burning fossil fuels way ahead of other countries in the past.
Now countries like China, India, and other's want to have the prosperity, and who can blame them?
The only problem is that the planet has been already poisened!
Yes, we made a mistake here in the US, and acted like nothing could stop us.
Now that we are seeing this, the rest of the world wants what we have /had.
Changing our lifestlye may be the only chance for now.
By a being a leader in conservation, recycling, and re-use, we might be a leader again. Not for having the best stuff, but by being a leader to save the planet!
