The Dow Live Earth Run for Water Mexico City was announced to media this week by event directors Sports Promotion and event beneficiary, Fondo Para La Paz.

Mexico City is one of more than 100 cities that will participate in global events to raise money and awareness of the global water crisis on April 18th.

The 6km "Carrera del Agua" takes place in Mexico City's urban forest, the Bosque de Chapultepec. After participants walk, jog, or run the 6K (the average distance women and children must walk each day for water in third world countries), the day will be capped with a live performance by Latin Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Kany Garcia!
