India didn't cause the climate crisis, but its population will bear some of the most damaging effects of global warming: flooding and drought.

True.
Though India didn't cause the climate crisis, climate change may be weakening India's monsoon, producing droughts and potentially causing significant consequences according to a study. Flooding is also a result of catastrophic environmental changes in India. More than 3 feet of rain fell on Mumbai in a 24-hour period in July 2005.
