This week many climate organizations are working together to create an all-out, bare-knuckled, three-day calling campaign to demand the strongest possible climate and clean energy legislation. RePower America wants you to take the pledge.

With critical negotiations happening right now in the Senate over climate and clean energy and a bill due to be announced soon, lobbyists from big polluting corporations are scrambling to throw as much firepower as they can against a strong bill.

Call your Senators and tell them what you think!

Once you're connected, remember to tell the staff member you're speaking to that:

• You're a constituent
• You want your Senators to pass strong clean energy and climate legislation this year
• You want a strong bill that invests in clean energy, creates millions of jobs and sets a limit on harmful carbon pollution from all sectors of our economy

In Sunday's New York Times, Al Gore made clear the urgency of this moment for all of us - that without strong U.S. legislation this year, it could be too late to avoid climate catastrophe.

But that message won't get through to the Senate unless we create enormous public pressure.
